There are more hurdles for independent candidates to get their name on the ballot. This is why I need your petition signature! Signing isn't an official vote but it does give you more choices this November.
It takes less than 2 minutes to sign!

State election law requires independents to gather signatures from 1% of all registered voters just to get on the ballot.
We started strong and turned in over 770 signatures. However, the local Board of Elections put up so many barriers that we had to bring in an ACLU lawyer for support, and halfway through the process, we were forced to start completely over from scratch. They wanted us to give up and be counted out; but thanks to legal backing and incredible community support, their tactics didn’t work. We are still in this fight!
Our Strategy & Goals
Because the Board of Elections requires has 20 days to process sheets once submitted, we aren't waiting until the official August 3rd deadline. We need a safety buffer in case they challenge any more signatures.
The Official Requirement: Approximately 1,500 signatures. (includes the over the required amount requirement)
Our Target Goal: Exceed that requirement completely by June 15th to ensure we are 100% safe.
How You Can Help
To sign, you must be a registered voter in Washington County. The Board of Elections does not accept electronic signatures. It must be a physical "wet" signature on an original paper copy. Here is how we can get yours:
Option 1: Meet at an Event! Come find us at one of our upcoming local community events.
Option 2: Schedule a 2-Minute Meetup! Pick a quick time on my calendar, and we will meet you in person to grab your signature.
Want to help us collect signatures?
If you want to help circulate a petition sheet among your own friends, family, or neighbors, send me a message and I will email you a signature sheet along with the official instructions.
Schedule a 2 minute meet up!
